Director of Burleson Family Counseling
Works with: Children | Teens | Adults | Couples | Families
Chad’s goal is to meet clients where they are, walk alongside them through life’s challenges, and create an atmosphere where they feel encouraged, understood, and challenged to grow. He believes people often have more strengths and capabilities than they recognize, and counseling can help uncover those strengths while developing practical tools for meaningful change.
Rather than using the same approach, Chad adapts counseling to the needs, personality, goals and circumstances of each client.
Chad’s Approach
Chad primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CPT) while incorporating other approaches based on the needs of the client.
- Better understand patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviors
- Develop healthier coping and communication skills
- Navigate difficult relationships and life transitions
- Strengthen emotional regulation
- Identify strengths and build confidence
- Move from feeling stuck toward meaningful change
Faith & Counseling
Chad’s Christian faith is an important part of who he is and it influences the values he brings to his work. At the same time, he believes effective counseling begins by meeting client where they are.
Clients from all backgrounds, beliefs and life experiences are welcome at Burleson Family Counseling. Chad respects each client’s individual values and goals and does not assume that faith should be part of the counseling process.
For clients who desire it, Christian faith, scripture and biblical principles can be incorporated into counseling. For those who do not, Chad provides the same compassionate, professional counseling while respecting the client’s beliefs and preferences.
Faith integration is always client-directed, never imposed.
Education & Professional Background
Chad is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and director of Burleson Family Counseling. He also provides clinical supervision to counselors completing requirements toward independent licensure.
