Counseling with Victoria
Victoria believes counseling should be a place where clients feel safe, heard, and accepted. She works to create a calm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can talk openly about what they’re experiencing and get the support they need.
Rather than expecting every client to respond to the same approach, Victoria meets clients where they are and adapts counseling to their individual needs, personality, and goals..
Victoria’s Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Person-centered Therapy
- Play Therapy
- Family Systems Therapy
- Reality Therapy
Particular Strengths: ADHD, anxiety, depression and OCD
Working with Children
Working with children has been an important part of Victoria’s life for many years. Before beginning her counseling training, Victoria worked with children as a dance teacher, pre-K teacher, and behavioral paraprofessional in an elementary school.
That experience helps Victoria understand that children don’t always communicate what they’re experiencing in the same way adults do. She incorporates developmentally appropriate approaches, including play-based techniques, to help children feel comfortable, express themselves, and develop new skills.
